So yesterday I was heading to the store when I came upon something... some bike I've never really seen before and had to take a pic.  I'm not sure exactly what 'it' is called.  Anyone? Lol.

REVIEW: MY NEW FUJIFILM FINEPIX XP50

Ok, so today, as promised, I will give my personal review on this product. I finally got around to uploading some pics and video shots taken from my new Fujifilm Finepix XP50.

First, let me say, for the money I spent (see my original post), the camera did its job for what I wanted it to do.  I am doing this post for those of you who are going on vacation and want some fairly decent shots both on land and in and around water without ruining the camera and without spending an arm-an-a-leg!  This review is not for you professionals! Lol.

I am no professional photographer, I wanted a camera that could take shots of underwater sea life, as well as take normal land shots without damaging the camera itself. This Fuji camera did just that.  Now having said that, if I had read the instructions and manual on how to use the camera BEFORE I had actually used it, I would have taken even much better shots (I'll explain later).  So folks, here you will learn from my mistakes and what NOT to do. By the way, their previous model, the XP20, was the most popular waterproof, shockproof camera in the world in 2011!

MY PET BIRD, HOUDINI

So I had to go away for a few days and had everything planned when I realized I hadn't made plans for my poor lovebird, Houdini (I gave him that name since he's always trying to escape).  Usually my folks take care of him but they were away and I was left wondering what to do with my crazy escape artist.

Luckily, a good friend and co-worker offered to watch him, (thank God!, since I wouldn't have known what else to do with him.)  I trusted her a great deal since she herself adored animals of ALL kind!

I'm not sure if it would have been any easier if it were a dog or a cat - who knows.  I've had Houdini for 9 years now, and he loves to play peek-a-boo and bite-my-finger and I would have been really worried about him during my trip.

So what do YOU usually do with your pets when you have to go away on an unexpected trip or a planned vacation?

So today I posted another video creation of mine.
Since I read so much on a daily basis, (who doesn't?),  this one is about some of the facts, stats and other interesting information I came across in just one week like - Did you know, people with red hair (redheads), experience pain differently than the rest?

A WORK IN PROGRESS... MAKING SENSE OF MY SON'S ART PROJECT

So Today I became curious enough and opened the door to my son's room.  He's been in there for a week, lol.  Only coming out to eat and shower.  Final term is wrapping up at university and it's crunch time.  He's taking Graphic Arts Design but really doesn't seem too happy doing the 'art' part of it.

I don't get it.

I thought Art and Design went 'hand-in-hand'?

He is doing this huge poster-size art work on his wall and is now adding in all the details. This requires A LOT of shading and he doesn't seem too content on doing it.

"Too time consuming," he says.
"I don't want to be an aritist, I want to be a Graphic Designer."

"What's the difference?" I asked, but he was too frustrated for the moment, to answer me.  I will try again later.

All I managed to get out of him in regards to this assignment is that it had to involve a few of the people in his class... including himself.  Why there is a spatula and pipe involved is anyone's guess.

"What's up with the clouds... and that 'nipple' down below?" I wondered out loud.  Oooh... he was getting mad.

"That's not a nipple!  It's an eye!" he yelled.

Oooookaaaay then.  I quietly vacated his room and shut the door behind me.  I'll check back in a few days...

I still don't get it!
